A stomach that fills and twists (gastric dilatation-volvulus, “bloat”) is rare but life-threatening and needs a vet within minutes to hours, not tomorrow.

What to do now
Keep the next hours calm: no running, fetching or rough play for one to two hours, which matters most for large, deep-chested breeds. Leave water available. At the next meal, feed a little less, or skip treats for the day, rather than a full meal on top; don’t fast a puppy or a dog with a medical condition.
When “twice” is serious
Call your vet for advice, even without symptoms, if the dog is a young puppy or a very small dog, or has a condition where food and medication are linked. The clearest case is a diabetic dog on insulin: meals and insulin doses belong together, and a second dose is dangerous.
A double dose of any medication is a different situation from a double meal. Call your vet or the emergency vet now. Have the medicine’s name, the strength, how much was given and when, and your dog’s weight ready. Don’t make the dog vomit unless a vet tells you to, and don’t give the next dose until you have spoken to one.
